You have a preferred dictionary? Are you kidding? Is this a joke question?
Oxford (commonly referred to as OED %26gt; Oxford English Dictionary). It is by far and away the absolutely most authoritative and gives the correct spellings.Which english dictionary do you prefer: webster, collins, or longman? why?

The American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language. It is pretty comprehensive %26amp; just my fav dictionary.
Neither....I prefer Oxford coz it's the first dictionary i got from my parents when i first started going to school. And i've been using it ever since(of course it's not the same one i was using years ago) It's a much more thicker one
my school makes it compulsory for us to use Cambridge Advanced dictionary. its quite good though.

it shows what the different words are (noun, adj), gives sample sentences and many more. try going to Popular %26amp; take a look.

bt afterall it is still quite personal. u gotta see which dictionary suits u best. gd luck :)
