i heard someone saying its one of the top three dictionaries after marriam-webster and oxford english dictionary.



apparently its english dictionary.i never heard of it?

The dictionary in question is Funk and Wagnall's. One of the company's distribution schemes was to offer it as a premium at grocery stores. They also had an encyclopedia.

Funk and Wagnall produce a lot of academic stuff--encyclopedias of various sorts as well as dictionaries.
