In the 1930s, Websters dictionary added what imaginary word to 5 editions in a row?

I'm pretty sure it was accidentally added. In the 1930s, Websters dictionary added what imaginary word to 5 editions in a row?
Dord, was used as a synonym for density.

The only problem is that the word dord (rhymes with cord) never appeared in the English language before that edition of Webster's. It was actually supposed to be a footnote for abbreviation. D or d.
