are you trying to make an existence joke? Why doesn't the word "atheism" exist in the Merriam-Webster dictionary?
Fail.

You probably just failed to find it. Next time, remember that the words are in alphabetical order.

Because "atheism" implies the existence of "theism", and if one repudiates the very existence of a god then there is no need even for atheism, since the concept cannot even exist.
Because they don't believe that we exist...
I don't have one with me, but it's in the online version.

It does.
Because Webster's english is english for those that couldn't be bothered learning proper english. Rather telling that it's not used outside of America.

Having said that, the word atheist is in Websters inferior bastardisation dictionary.
You are mistaken.

You know you have to look in the "a's", right?
I doubt your assertion, but since I do not have a copy of that dictionary at hand, I will suggest a possible reason.

Sometimes, secondary forms of words are included under a primary form rather than given a full individual annotation. The adverbial form, say, of an adjective is sometimes listed after the definition rather than being given a full definition.

I suspect, though, that you are in error.
A: It does, as pointed out above.

B: A lot of words don't appear in the dictionary.
Atheism? look up atheist...it's the same thing and they don't need to put it twice.
Atheism is the RATIONAL opposite of Islamic monotheism, or any form of theism, where foolish deluded minds dwell.

Oh, that's not how it's defined in the Merrian-Webster dictionary? Well, it should be!

Hahahahaha!
Why doesn't it say "trinity" in the Bible?
